I remember one of the first things that struck me after moving here. You would meet people over coffee, on a ski lift, at a trailhead, or standing in line somewhere, and only much later discover they had created something significant, or achieved extraordinary things in their field. Nobody led with it. People led with who they were and what they are passionate about. I found that refreshing. It’s also why I believe EVESO fits so naturally into this community.
I’ve spent more than 25 years in the automotive world, from working as a mechanic in my father’s workshop to racing professionally in British Formula 3 and working alongside some of the most respected names and for some of the most famous companies in the industry.
On paper, building a private automotive estate and members’ club probably seems like a natural extension of that career, but the truth is that EVESO would never have happened anywhere other than Bozeman, Montana. The thing that attracted me here was the people and community - as well as the cars. The fact is that I moved to Bozeman because I fell in love with the culture and its connection to the great outdoors.
Bozeman is a place where success exists, often at an extraordinary level, but rarely announces itself, and there’s a deep respect for hard work, self-reliance, craftsmanship, and authenticity. Coming from the automotive world, those values resonated with me immediately. Bozeman’s beautiful surroundings – endless green forests, rugged mountains, and stunning waterways – are also intertwined with its way of life. That’s rare to find, and I connected with it naturally.

EVESO Bozeman is underpinned by deeded automotive storage and a wide variety of automotive care services. There’s a genuine need in the Gallatin Valley for such an all-in-one estate; the growth of Bozeman, Big Sky, and the surrounding region has brought together people who expect a certain standard of vehicle care, management, logistics, and stewardship. Those services have been underserved for a long time, and EVESO exists to solve that problem. But that’s only part of the story.
One of the things I noticed early on was that there are countless groups of people across the valley who share common interests, values, and passions, but there are surprisingly few places designed specifically to bring them together. You see it everywhere: groups meeting in the corner of coffee shops before work; friends gathering around a brewery table after a day in the mountains; entrepreneurs, adventurers, hunters, anglers, skiers, cyclists, pilots, business owners, and car enthusiasts all looking for connection and conversation. The demand exists, but the home for it largely doesn't, which is where EVESO comes in.
At its heart, EVESO is a club for people who live intentionally; people who are passionate about something. Sometimes that passion is cars. Sometimes it’s skiing. Sometimes it’s fly-fishing, mountain biking, aviation, hunting, entrepreneurship, or simply spending time outdoors with family and friends, but the common thread is how they choose to live.
In many ways, I think of EVESO as an alternative to traditional country club culture. That’s not because there’s anything wrong with golf clubs, but because many of the people moving to Bozeman - or who have called Bozeman home for decades - define themselves differently. Their community exists in the mountains, on rivers, in workshops, on trails, and around campfires. Those are the people we’re building for, and why we’ve been very deliberate about how EVESO presents itself.
Bozeman doesn’t respond well to unnecessary flash. Frankly, neither do I. The best things in Montana tend to be understated, and the best people often are, too. The goal was never to create something that feels exclusive for the sake of being exclusive. The goal was to create something exceptional enough that people recognise its value without needing to be told, because one is about status, the other is about standards. Standards matter in how vehicles are cared for; they matter in how facilities are designed; they matter in how members are treated; and most importantly, they matter in how a business participates in the community around it.

As EVESO grows, I want it to become a place that contributes to the culture of Bozeman rather than simply benefiting from it. I want it to be a place where friendships are formed, where local businesses collaborate, where people discover new adventures, where newcomers integrate into the community more quickly, and where people who might never otherwise cross paths find common ground. I want someone to walk through the doors and feel like they've found their people. Because that, ultimately, is what happened to me.
Like many people who move here, I arrived as an outsider. Over time, through friendships, shared experiences, and becoming genuinely involved in the community, Bozeman became my home. EVESO is an extension of that journey, not an attempt to change Bozeman. No, it’s an attempt to celebrate what makes Bozeman special. The adventurous spirit; the independence; the craftsmanship; the humility; and the belief that life is better when it’s shared with good people.
Those values existed long before EVESO arrived. Our job is simply to create a place worthy of them.
